Overview

Smart Popups is a Shopify Theme App Extension that displays customizable popups on your storefront. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a merchant or end user.

Data We Collect

Smart Popups does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from storefront visitors. All popup configuration settings are stored within your Shopify theme and served through Shopify's infrastructure.

The app does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. Visitor interaction state such as whether a popup has been shown is stored locally in the visitor's browser using localStorage and sessionStorage and never sent to any server.

Merchant Data

When you install Smart Popups, Shopify shares basic store information with us as required to authenticate your installation. This includes your store URL and access credentials managed entirely by Shopify. We do not sell, share, or use this information for any purpose beyond operating the app.

Third-Party Services

Smart Popups does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Data Retention

We do not store merchant or visitor data on external servers. No databases are maintained outside of Shopify's own infrastructure.

Your Rights

You may uninstall Smart Popups at any time from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling the app removes all access we have to your store. If you have questions about your data, contact us at the email below.
